About Sage
Sage Castleberry, a pop country artist, embarked on his musical journey in Michigan, where he first picked up the guitar and began crafting songs from a young age. While he briefly set aside his musical aspirations during his formative years, his passion for music reignited during his freshman year at university. Returning home, Castleberry immersed himself once again in the music scene, collaborating with friends and his father, Tim Castleberry, on various musical projects.
In 2022, Castleberry made a significant breakthrough with the release of his debut single, "I Kinda Like It." The song swiftly garnered widespread acclaim and secured him a nomination for the 2023 Josie Award for Song of the Year in the Pop/multiple Songwriters category, co-written with Samuel Luna. The debut also received praise from prominent music publications such as Earmilk, Atwood Magazine, and Variance Magazine.
Building on this success, Castleberry unveiled his debut EP titled "Leave With Me Together," a heartfelt tribute inspired by his grandparents, Donna and Jerry Castleberry. Featuring tracks like "Last Goodbye," "Think of You," "Neverland," and "Perfect," the EP resonated deeply with audiences and showcased his versatility as a songwriter. This project earned him a nomination for a "Jammie XXIV" by WYCE for EP of the year, as well as a Josie Award nomination for "EP of the Year - Multi Genre."
Castleberry's career highlights include sharing stages with renowned musicians, notably opening for the Artimus Pyle Band, which features Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer, Artimus Pyle. Additionally, he has opened for country artist Tyler Booth, known for collaborations with Brooks & Dunn and Jake Owen, further broadening his fanbase and industry recognition.
Most recently, Sage Castleberry's single "Dancing Slow," released in April 2024, has already amassed an impressive 192,000 streams on Spotify as of July 2024, reflecting his growing popularity. With four Josie Music Award nominations to his credit, Castleberry's talent and dedication underscore his ongoing rise and influence in the music world.
